Chapter 40B LIP Authorization
On Tuesday, October 11, 2022, the Millbury Board of Selectmen included on their agenda to authorize the Chairperson, Mary Krumsiek, on behalf of the Town of Millbury, to execute a Chapter 40B LIP agreement between the Town and SJV Investments (Steven Venincasa and James Venincasa) to begin the Chapter 40B LIP process. This is not an approval of the proposed Chapter 40B project at 17 Rice Road, as that decision lies with the Millbury Board of Appeals (more of a town recommendation than an decision) and the final decision is with the Massachusetts Housing and Community Development.
Selectmen Vote To Enter Negotiations
On Tuesday, June 15, 2022, the Millbury Board of Selectmen voted to enter negotiations with the developers, Steven F. Venincasa and James Venincasa, for a proposed Chapter 40B LIP project, with a proposed 192-apartments with 48 being affordable (not low-income) apartments, at 17 Rice Road in Millbury, Massachusetts.
Consideration Of Initiation Of Chapter 40B Negotiations
On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, the Millbury Board of Selectmen have an agenda item under New Business for the Consideration of Initiation of Chapter 40B Negotiations with Rice Road Developers, Steven F. Venincasa and James Venicasa. The meeting starts at 6:00 PM EST and is held at the Millbury Town Hall located at 127 Elm Street in Millbury, Massachusetts.
Signatures To Call A Special Town Meeting — Part 2
Enact a temporary (15± months) building moratorium on multi-family dwelling units (3 or more) in Millbury to establish thoughtful criteria for consideration and approval of multi-family dwelling units within neighborhood contexts and within downtown Millbury. In order for the Town to undertake comprehensive planning to formulate and adopt such criteria under zoning, the Town intends to adopt a temporary moratorium on the consideration and approval of multi-family proposals under the Zoning Bylaws.

Last night, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, two neighbors attended the UN1F1ED2 Parkway Project neighborhood meeting where Sutton residents and surrounding towns were invited to come and hear about the project, ask questions, and express concerns. It was hosted by the management and project team of UN1F1ED2 Global Packaging Group.
